With the success of our Swedish Vikings exhibition in North America, and to meet the continued interest in the Viking topic, MuseumsPartner of Innsbruck, Austria is pleased to announce that they have entered into a new partnership with the National Museum of Denmark in Copenhagen to create a new exhibition called Warriors of the North: Giants of the Sea ” that will be coming to North America when our current Swedish exhibition finishes at the end of 2017. It premiered at the Museo Arqueológico (MARQ) in Alicante, Spain last year and will be on display there until March 5, 2017.

This new exhibition will feature over 650 new artifacts and many of the favorite interactives from our Swedish exhibition, plus the iconic “Ghost Ship ” which displays the original rivets in a three-dimensional representation of the original boat’s shape which is revealed as the visitor walks around the display. It will also have new technology, such as on-floor smart phone apps that interact with the exhibition and augmented reality interactivity.

In addition, MuseumsPartner has the exclusive right to tour in North America, until the end of 2018, the Roskilde 6. This unique reconstruction of the longest warship ever found (over 122 ft.) has almost 25% of the original planks that have been preserved. It premiered in November, 2016 at the Cincinnati Museum Center with our current Swedish exhibition.

Venues are being sought from interested museums and science centers in North America from the summer of 2017 onward. MuseumsPartner has secured the rights to loan the objects from the National Museum of Denmark up to the end of 2021.
